B.Michael O’Connell,
PT,DPT,OCS,COMT,CSCS

Dr. B. Michael O’Connell attended Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA, and graduated with a doctorate in physical therapy in 2006. He started his career as a physical therapist assistant after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University in 1999. Since earning his DPT, Dr. O’Connell has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedics, with more than 15 years of experience in treating a variety of patients including college and NFL athletes.   He is currently employed as Facility Director for Phoenix Rehabilitation and Health Services. Dr. O’Connell has continued his passion for lifelong learning by attending more than 50 specialization courses in manual therapy, sports medicine, therapeutic neuroscience and orthopedic rehabilitation. He has been certified in orthopedics by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists in 2009 and in orthopedic manual physical therapy through Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars in 2009. Dr. O’Connell also became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2011, and a Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator (CFCE) through Matheson in 2007. He is currently pursuing a fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. Dr. O’Connell is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Lebanon Valley College and a Utilization Consultant for a major insurance company. He has been utilizing IASTM in his practice since 2007, and enjoys spending time watching his Penn State Nittany Lions with his wife and two daughters.
