Andreas Mueller,
PT,CFMT

Andreas Mueller attended Concordia University Wisconsin and received his bachelor’s degree in sports medicine in January 1999, as well as a master’s in physical therapy in May 2001. Andreas has been practicing as a staff Orthopedic Physical Therapist with Select Physical Therapy since July 2001. He treats a variety of orthopedic injuries but specializes in spine and extremity rehabilitation with a focus on complex, chronic conditions. In 2006, Andreas completed a 2-year orthopedic residency and became a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) through the Institute of Physical Art (IPA). He has been a faculty member for Select Medical’s Continuing Education Department since 2003, and has authored and instructed numerous courses both locally and nationally. With the assistance of Mark Butler, PT, he co-authored the primary instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) course for Select Medical beginning in 2013. Since then, he has instructed IASTM over 50 times at national courses and conferences. Partnering with HawkGrips in 2014, Mark and Andreas have developed the primary IASTM courses for the HawkGrips educational team. In 2016, Andreas developed Advanced IASTM and Joint Mobilization of the Upper Quarter to integrate IASTM treatment with differential diagnosis and additional manual therapy techniques to address complex upper-quarter dysfunctions. In addition to IASTM courses, he has developed and taught Manual Therapy and Exercise Prescription in Cancer Survivorship, Therapeutic Exercise Prescription, Shoulder, Spine, Hip and Sacroiliac Rehabilitation, Soft Tissue Mobilization and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF). Andreas frequently guest lectures at Texas State University’s School of Physical Therapy and has instructed at national hand conferences throughout the country. He also developed and leads a local mentorship program to assist new physical therapists in developing their skills and clinical thought processes.
