Ashley Campbell, PT,DPT,SCS,CSCS

Dr. Ashley Campbell is the Director of Performance One, an injury prevention and sports performance-based private practice in Franklin, TN, just outside of Nashville. In addition, she is a Physical Therapist at Nashville Sports Medicine, specializing in non-operative and post-operative care of the hip with Dr. Thomas Byrd. She earned her doctorate in physical therapy from Belmont University after completing her bachelor’s of science in exercise physiology at Ohio University. Dr. Campbell is a Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy as well as a Registered International Sports Physical Therapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She has worked extensively with athletes at all levels, including the PGA, NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB. Dr. Campbell enjoys utilizing a variety of manual therapy techniques in clinical practice, including IASTM and trigger point dry needling. She feels these techniques are a great adjunct to joint mobilizations and corrective exercise in developing a well-rounded and effective plan of care. Dr. Campbell has done over 50 lectures on topics ranging from hip rehabilitation to injury prevention and functional movement, including teaching the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) Certification Course with Advances in Clinical Education. She also holds an Adjunct Faculty position with Belmont University’s School of Physical Therapy in orthopedics, and serves as the Managing Editor of the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy. Dr. Campbell has won awards for leadership and clinical skills from Belmont University and the APTA’s Sports Physical Therapy Section.
